IT support for contractors and home service companies starts with the handoff between office and field. Battle Creek IT helps HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other service teams manage business technology with security built in.
Based in Battle Creek, we also serve teams in Kalamazoo and surrounding Southwest Michigan communities.
Signs worth addressing
Shared logins: Nobody owns access.

Contractor IT questions
Can you support our dispatch or estimating software?
We can support the devices, accounts, connectivity, and Microsoft 365 services around your business applications, and coordinate with the software provider when needed. Application support responsibilities are agreed in advance. We start by identifying what the office and field teams actually use, who administers each system, and which problems belong to BCIT or the application provider.
Can technicians use their own phones for work?
Sometimes, but business access needs clear rules. Decide which information is allowed on personal devices, how accounts are protected, and what happens when someone leaves or loses a phone. Remote access controls depend on device enrollment, configuration, and connectivity. We help plan an appropriate setup without promising that every copy of business information can always be removed remotely.
Do we need to replace our current computers and phones?
Not automatically. We review condition, supportability, security, and the way your crew works before recommending replacements. A defined phone or network project may be enough if the rest of your environment is working well. For ongoing needs, managed services include unlimited remote support for covered users and onsite visits, with frequency, covered work, and separately scoped projects defined in your agreement.
What is included in the free IT assessment?
We discuss your business, current frustrations, office and field workflows, and priorities. The initial onsite technology walkthrough includes network discovery and helps identify a useful starting point. It is not a comprehensive security audit, certification, or formal written report. Deeper investigation and detailed project work are discussed separately. During office hours, our typical initial response is within an hour, often sooner.
