See Everything, From Anywhere

Cameras That Catch the Moment, Footage You Actually Own

Sharp video at every entrance, register, and corner of the lot, viewable from your phone wherever you are, with recordings stored on your equipment instead of someone else's subscription. Battle Creek IT designs, installs, and maintains business camera systems locally.

Why Design Matters

The Worst Time to Find Out a Camera System Is Bad Is When You Need the Footage

Every business with a bad camera system discovers it the same way: something happens, everyone gathers around a screen, and the footage is a grainy smear of a person-shaped object. The cameras were pointed at the wrong things, the resolution was set to save storage, night performance was never tested, and the one angle that mattered had a blind spot since installation day.

Good camera systems are designed backwards from the moments you'll need: identifying a face at the entrance, reading a plate in the lot, seeing what happened at the register. That dictates camera placement, lens choice, mounting height, and lighting, before a single hole gets drilled. It's the difference between owning evidence and owning decorations.

And because cameras are network devices, who installs them matters more than people think. Ours go on properly built, isolated networks as part of the same standard behind our network management work, so the system that watches your business never becomes a way into it.

Signs Your Cameras Aren't Doing Their Job

  • Footage can't identify anyone If you can't make out a face, you have motion art, not evidence.
  • Viewable from one dusty PC only Incidents don't wait for you to be in the back office.
  • Cameras die quietly Nobody notices a dead camera until the day its angle mattered.
  • Your footage lives on someone's cloud Subscription fees forever, and the recordings aren't really yours.
What We Do

Complete Camera Systems, Designed to Installed to Maintained

One local team handles the whole system, and the network it runs on.

System Design & Camera Placement

Coverage planned backwards from the footage you'd actually need: faces at entry points, registers, loading areas, and lots, with night performance and blind spots engineered out before installation.

Professional PoE Installation

Each camera runs on a single network cable carrying both power and video. Clean runs, weatherproof mounting, tidy equipment closets, and no electrician needed at every camera location.

Remote Viewing From Anywhere

Live views and recorded playback from your phone, tablet, or desktop, at the office or on vacation. Multiple locations roll into one app, so checking on the business takes seconds, not a drive.

Smart Detection & Alerts

Modern cameras tell people from headlights from raccoons. Get alerted when a person enters the lot at 2 AM, not every time a branch moves, and find any event in seconds by searching for people or vehicles instead of scrubbing hours of footage.

Local Storage You Own

Recordings stored on your own equipment at your site, sized for the retention period your business needs, with clip export for incidents, insurance claims, and police reports. No monthly per-camera ransom to access your own footage.

Hardened, Isolated & Maintained

Cameras live on their own segmented network, firmware stays updated, and system health is monitored so a dead camera gets fixed in days, not discovered in a crisis. Security for the security system, aligned with our cybersecurity standards.

How a Camera Project Goes

STEP 1

Site Walk

We walk your property with you, talk through what you need to see and why, and identify the angles, lighting challenges, and cable paths. Free, and usually eye-opening.

STEP 2

Design & Quote

A camera-by-camera plan showing what each one covers, the storage sized to your retention needs, and one fixed price for the whole system installed.

STEP 3

Install & Configure

Cabling, mounting, and configuration done cleanly and on schedule, apps set up on your devices, and a walkthrough of the system before we call it finished.

STEP 4

Maintain

Firmware updates, health monitoring, and support continue under your plan, so the system that worked on day one still works on day one thousand.

The Part Nobody Mentions

Cheap Cameras Are One of the Internet's Favorite Ways In

Bargain internet cameras have a track record: default passwords nobody changes, firmware that never gets updated, and quiet connections back to servers overseas. Entire botnets have been built from them, and a compromised camera sitting on your business network is a foothold pointed at everything else you own.

That's why our camera systems are built like security systems in both senses: business-grade hardware, isolated on their own network segment, kept patched, and watched for health. The system protecting your property should never be the hole in your security posture, and with us it isn't.

Camera System Questions We Hear Most

Can you reuse our existing cameras or wiring?
Often partially, and we'll tell you straight after the site walk. Existing network cabling in good shape gets reused, which saves real money. Older cameras are evaluated case by case: some are worth keeping for secondary angles, while others record at a quality that defeats the purpose. We'd rather reuse what's genuinely good than sell you replacements you don't need.
How long is footage kept?
That's a design decision we size storage around, not a limit you discover later. Most businesses keep 30 to 90 days of continuous recording, and the right answer depends on your industry, insurance, and how quickly incidents tend to surface. Important clips can be exported and kept permanently regardless of the rolling retention window.
Can I watch the cameras from my phone?
Yes, live and recorded, from anywhere. The app shows every camera across every location you have, sends you the alerts you actually care about, and lets you pull up and share a clip in seconds. Checking on the business from home, a job site, or a beach chair all works the same.
Are there monthly fees?
Not the per-camera cloud subscriptions consumer systems charge. Your footage records to equipment you own at your site, so viewing your own video never costs a monthly fee. Ongoing maintenance, monitoring, and support are covered under our managed services plans if you want the system cared for, which we recommend, but your recordings are never held behind a subscription.
How many cameras do we need?
Fewer well-placed cameras beat many bad ones, which is why we quote after a site walk instead of guessing by square footage. Entrances, registers, storage, and parking are the usual priorities, and the design shows you exactly what each camera covers so you're buying coverage, not a camera count. Most small businesses land somewhere between four and sixteen.
